WWE Roadblock: End Of The Line - 10 Predictions That Must Happen

Making a lackluster show a little bit better...

Next Sunday, WWE's Raw brand presents Roadblock: End of the Line, and suffice to say, it's not one of the better-looking Pay-Per-View offerings this year. With the exception of a Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair Iron Man match that is basically guaranteed to steal the show, 2016's second "Roadblock" event looks like a major flop, marked by stale programs and Roman Reigns's reintroduction to the main-event scene.

I've already written an article about how December is the worst month for wrestling, and Roadblock looks like it's going to prove that hypothesis. Falling in the vast, meaningless ocean of time between Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble, it feels like a show where WWE is just spinning its wheels until it can officially embark on the road to WrestleMania. As a result, we get weak offerings like this one.

Still, Roadblock may not end up being as bad as it looks. The company has an opportunity to deliver a show that can easily leave fans simultaneously satisfied and wanting more. With the right booking and matchmaking, the final PPV event of the year can avoid being a dud and can successfully bridge the gap to 2016.

Here are 10 Roadblock: End of the Line predictions that must happen:

10. Gran Metalik Returns

When the Cruiserweight Classic was announced, hardcore fans were shocked by the inclusion of Gran Metalik. Under the name Mascara Sagrada, Metalik was one of the top stars in Consejo Mundiale de Lucha Libre, Mexico's oldest wrestling promotion. Still, he worked the tournament while competing for CMLL, and then was announced for WWE's cruiserweight division.

Since the CWC, though, Metalik has only worked a single match for WWE - he was part of a fatal four-way contest on the Raw after the tournament ended, along with Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, and Brian Kendrick. He then spent the next couple of months in Mexico, finishing up his commitments.

Since November, Metalik has been on the road with WWE, working NXT house shows - but he has yet to return to Raw or debut on 205 Live. Roadblock would be a good place for him to make his return, even if it were in a pre-show match. With a ton of fans watching on the WWE Network, Metalik would get to dazzle with his one-of-a-kind high-risk offense.
