8. The Undertaker
Staying with the WWE Title picture, rumours have been doing the rounds suggesting that The Undertaker may return for his annual showcase at Wrestlemania to face CM Punk. Where as his past four bouts have seen him take on Shaun Michaels twice and Triple H twice, perhaps now is the time for him to give a younger superstar some spotlight. CM Punk would be an interesting choice. Despite going over John Cena and Chris Jericho, still the feeling abounds that he has still not had that huge match that defines his title run. That could come against The Rock at the Royal Rumble, but that would quickly be overshadowed if it did indeed just turn out to be a precursor for a Cena vs Rock rematch. However, were he to take on The Undertaker, with the title, there would be huge interest in a Streak vs Streak match. The Undertaker returning at the Rumble would be massive. Just imagine if there are only two or three superstars left to go, excitement has been ramped up, the countdown for the next man hits zero, then the lights go out, and that familiar gong sounds. It would be huge. The usual debates about The Phenom's physical state are of course still there, but putting them to one side, The Undertaker returning at the Rumble and winning it to set up a WWE Title match with CM Punk at Wrestlemania would be massive. Odds would of course be massively in favour of The Undertaker successfully defending his streak and winning the title, which raises a huge issue of 'what next?', but putting that to one side, it could be a massive moment.
