When discussing AJ Styles signing with WWE, Dave Meltzer linked him with the Royal Rumble and WWE's planned "surprises." As for NXT Champion Finn Balor, he's also a strong contender to appear in the Rumble match. There's little left for him to do in NXT, and he's long overdue on the main roster. It would be a great time to introduce him to the main WWE audience at the January 24 event, which is likely to be the second most viewed WWE special of the year. With both Balor and AJ involved, look out for them to potentially have some exciting exchanges. They'd match up perfectly and could provide some real thrills in the early going of the match. Balor has already teased this, posting a "what if..." question on his Twitter, with a picture of himself and Styles.
