WWE Royal Rumble 2016: Ranking Every Entrant's Chances

Some Chance For 'Sheamus 2012' Style Swerve

8. Alberto Del Rio

The current WWE United States Champion, Alberto Del Rio should handily see off Kalisto earlier in the Royal Rumble card. During the 30-man match, he will be one of those wrestlers who lasts a decent amount of time, but it would be a head-turning moment if he was picked to win at this point in time.

7. Kevin Owens

What a shock it would be if Kevin Owens somehow scooped both the WWE Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Titles in one night. As unlikely as that may seem, if WWE are serious about pushing the man as a top heel it would be quite the way to shoot him to the top of the card.

6. Dean Ambrose

Who knows whether or not Dean Ambrose will fend off Kevin Owens in a 'Street Fight' during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The story could actually be played into the Rumble match proper, with both Ambrose and Owens brawling out of the ring and into the backstage area. They could even possibly eliminate one another, yet continue fighting as they make their way to the back.

5. Sheamus

It seems like the WWE Title reign of Sheamus during November into December is inconsequential now. WWE management have moved on from the idea of the Irishman being champ, but he will still pose a serious threat to Roman Reigns during the Royal Rumble. Sheamus has a chance of cracking the final four in the match.

4. Bray Wyatt

Similarly, the actions of Bray Wyatt on the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw suggest the bearded mad man will play a huge part in the Rumble. It'd be quite the swerve if he ended up winning it, but would continue his on-off feud with Roman Reigns that keeps popping up every so often. He'll also have a rampant Brock Lesnar after him, following the events of Raw.
