WWE Royal Rumble 2016 Spoilers: 10 Things To Expect Tonight

9. The New Day Hold On To The WWE Tag-Team Titles

There was a time when it would have made sense to have The Usos take the WWE Tag Team Titles away from The New Day. When the brothers returned to action a few months ago, a lot of people felt it was only a matter of time before they bagged the belts. Instead, The Lucha Dragons were inserted into the mix, leading to a Triple Threat Ladder Match at the TLC pay-per-view. At this point, the momentum of Jimmy and Jey has cooled off. They no longer seem to be hanging around with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns as much, meaning 'The Family' (as it was dubbed) doesn't appear to be in WWE's plans going forward. On television, they have lost to the likes of The Wyatt Family, too, but have defeated New Day, making their Rumble Tag Title match logical. The New Day are such a riot as champions that it's impossible to imagine a team carrying the division as well as they have been. It makes sense that they would hold the titles until WrestleMania, where it's likely another multi-team bout will take place. At the Royal Rumble, people should expect them to escape with the belts still around their waists by hook or crook, in order to prolong their feud with the Usos and build up anticipation for when they do eventually drop them.
