WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Superstars Who Have A Realistic Shot Of Winning

6. The Undertaker

Fans already heard The Undertaker say he was returning to SmackDown and that he would no longer allow WrestleMania to define him. While this shouldn't be taken to mean Undertaker will be a regular, full-time participant on the Tuesday night program from here on out, it does mean that we're likely to see the Deadman in San Antonio come January 29.

Especially considering WWE wants to bulk up their "Big 4" Pay-Per-Views in 2017 with multiple events being booked over these weekends and travel packages being sold, The Undertaker appearing at the Royal Rumble is a pretty safe bet. Rumors have been circulating that he'll actually be performing in the main event against WWE Champion AJ Styles, but that's yet to be confirmed.

It would certainly make more sense for the 51 year-old Phenom to compete in the Royal Rumble match, where he could enter late and not have to work very long, instead of a singles match with the best worker in the business today. Regardless of his age, The Undertaker hasn't competed in the ring since WrestleMania in Dallas. Anyone coming off that long a vacation is likely to experience some fatigue which could affect the match.

Should WWE opt to have Undertaker compete in the Royal Rumble match, it's possible they'll give The Deadman one last hurrah before heading off into the sunset.
