WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Things WWE Must Do

3. Chris Jericho Turns On Kevin Owens OR Wins The Royal Rumble

This all depends on which direction WWE wants to go with the inevitable breakup of the best friends in the world but, one way or another, they should get the ball rolling on the build to Owens and Jericho's WrestleMania match at the Royal Rumble.

The first option is that Chris Jericho turns on Kevin Owens (or vice versa), although that booking decision would likely rely on Roman Reigns beating the WWE Universal Champion - something which, as we've already discussed, we really don't want to see happen.

The other option then is for Chris Jericho to go on and win the Royal Rumble match at the end of the evening. Owens was already stunned when Jericho announced his intention to enter the Rumble match and a first ever Y2J win in the famous battle royal would continue the tension between the two en route to a split.

There is also the chance that Jericho accidentally costs Owens the title earlier in the evening and then a furious Owens returns in the Rumble match to eliminate Y2J and set up a non-title bout between the two at 'Mania. As we said earlier on this countdown though, we'd much rather see Owens hang onto the title until 'Mania so these two can clash for the championship, as they both deserve.
