WWE Royal Rumble 2017: Rating Each Entrant's Chances Of Winning

9. Baron Corbin

You can't have a conversation about WWE's most improved wrestlers without mentioning Baron Corbin's name. The Lone Wolf has shown more development in his six months on the main roster than he did throughout the entirety of his NXT run. His Talking Smack promos are routinely excellent, his bully character is great, and his in ring work is steadily improving, particularly when wrestling smaller opponents.

Corbin has flirted with SmackDown's main event scene lately, and that's where his future lies. He is the only performer of his kind on SD, and while he still has work to do, Corbin is going to be in the WWE Championship hunt sooner rather than later.

The Rumble is probably too early, though. It wouldn't be a major shock to see WWE elevate him on Sunday night, but they'll likely favour an alternative option to winning the match itself.

Chances: Moderate.
