WWE Royal Rumble 2018: 10 Outside Bets To Win The Men's Match

7. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman is a phenomenon. Perhaps the most over superstar at the moment, a physical titan and an increasingly entertaining personality, he'd be a favourite to win any match he's in. So why is he on a list of outside possibilities? Simple. He's already competing for the Universal Championship earlier in the night.

However, there is precedent to believe that Strowman will get another shot at the red belt if he is unsuccessful in the triple threat match with Brock Lesnar and Kane (which he almost certainly will be). For one thing, men like Strowman are built for the Rumble match, and his appearance would no doubt send the crowd into a frenzy. For another, men who have competed for the title at the pay-per-view have entered the Rumble match afterwards, notably Roman Reigns entering at number thirty last year, having faced off against then-Universal Champion Kevin Owens earlier in the show.

If Strowman is in the match, it would be a huge upset for him not to win it. With a few glaring exceptions (looking at you, No Mercy), he's been booked exceptionally strongly, and while it's easy to protect a superstar in elimination, having Strowman go out only for Roman Reigns to win would be disastrous. While we may only see Braun once on Sunday, if he's in the Rumble, he has to be considered a favourite.
