WWE Royal Rumble 2018: 10 Worst Possible Outcomes

6. Kane Wins The Universal Title

Sharpen your knives, people, because this one isn't out of the question. If WWE wanted to book a shock and switch the Universal Title to kick start WrestleMania season, then Braun Strowman would be the best choice. Sadly, the more satisfying solution isn't one this company always enjoy taking, especially on pay-per-view.

Lesnar should retain; the Triple Threat has a throwaway feel to it, and blatantly only exists to fill up one of Brock's contractual dates. Kane is also only in there so he can take the fall, right? Well, not so fast. If WWE go down the aforementioned injury angle route with Braun, then Kane might just come away with a final World Title run.

Kane is coming to the end of his in-ring career, so WWE may wish to reward his loyalty and service with a short title reign. This would be one of those moments that sucks the air from the building for the wrong reasons. Even old-school fans who adore Kane would have to admit it would do nothing for the Universal Title's appeal.

Thank God it won't happen...
