WWE Royal Rumble 2018: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
1. 30-Man Royal Rumble
Result: Shinsuke Nakamura eliminates Roman Reigns to win the Rumble (1:05:35).
Rating: Though a lot of fans have been quick to deem this one of the best Rumble matches ever, that might be a little hasty. It is probably the best of the last decade, though, and easily the most satisfying Rumble result since Edge won back in 2010.
A lot of recent Rumbles have felt weirdly boring and lacking in fun surprises, but this year's crammed a lot of great little moments in: Heath Slater being a punching bag and eliminating Sheamus, The Hurricane's cameo, Kofi with the pancake save, Rey Mysterio showing up and looking his best in years, and so on.
Ultimately the match was going to live or die by its ending, and WWE expertly teased fans with the possibility of a Reigns win right to the final moments, in one of the most gut-wrenchingly tense Rumble finales ever.
Nakamura winning was the right call, and though a few moments could've played better - Ziggler returning and doing nothing was a total waste - this got so much more right than any recent Rumble match. 8/10
