Like him or not, there's a strong argument to be made that Dolph Ziggler may actually win the 2018 Royal Rumble.

A hard sell, certainly, but it does make sense. It's unlikely that WWE would throw him back into the midcard after all his character's bluster about being "overlooked" and "unappreciated," which means we can expect one of two things: a push, or his legitimate retirement. Whatever happens, Dolph's career hasn't had this much intrigue in a long time. The angle worked.

Philadelphia seems a likely stage for his return. Ziggler has been absent since ditching the United States Title on SmackDown, and should be primed and ready to go, making this a relatively unexciting comeback, but an easy one. Expect him to make a decent dent in the Rumble if he does show up, possibly even making it all the way to the final four.
