Mercifully, mercifully, there's almost zero chance whatsoever of this actually happening. Almost.
With an in-ring return under his massive belt, nothing's now officially off the table for Shawn Michaels. He was the only man who ever stayed retired in pro wrestling right up until the moment he wasn't, so you can rule nothing out. Even if, by his own admission, his Crown Jewel payday was an absolute stinker that reminded him why he hadn't come back sooner, there's always a chance.
A WrestleMania match seems unlikely, especially with their being talk of one or two other more feasible legends clashing, but continuing the "Greatest Hits Tour" by soaking in the pop of a rumble return would work on paper. The US crowd who feel slightly robbed that HBK's one and only comeback happened on controversial overseas show get their moment to show him their appreciation, and Michaels doesn't have to look back at Crown Jewel as the swansong of his career.
Despite how easy it is to talk yourself round to the idea (I actually think it would be nice) there's still virtually zero chance of it happening. For now, at least.
