WWE Royal Rumble 2019: 10 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know
5. Velveteen Dream, Aleister Black, Pete Dunne
Of course, not all NXT Royal Rumble appearances are actually call-ups. Sometimes they're just... there.
There have, obviously, been a whole host of names thrown around already in regards to this. Scour the internet for long enough and virtually every performer currently in developmental get a mention as a potential surprise on the evening. However three names that crop up more consistently and more credibly than the rest are those of Aleister Black, The Velveteen Dream, and the WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne.
All three arguably have plenty more to do on their respective brands, making the idea of a full call-up seem unlikely for a number of months. Dunne is currently the main man on the fledgling NXT UK brand, Black might be about to embark upon a second NXT Championship reign, and the Dream could still use a few more big storylines to iron out the few remaining kinks in his character. All would be hugely well received on Sunday, but aren't likely to make it permanent anytime soon.
