6. The Bar Vs. Shane McMahon & The Miz - SmackDown Tag Team Title Match

Cesaro Shane McMahon

Quite brilliant on a level the three men and the jumped-up little boy probably didn't strive for, this was almost so-bad-it's-good.

Almost.

The enjoyment derived depends on how seriously you take it all. Provided you are completely numb to Shane McMahon's pathetic hard-man routine, his patented bullsh*t was quality schadenfreude. The visceral sight of Cesaro braining him into the barricade was cathartic for those who can't quite bring themselves to relinquish the hate, and amid his ego trip, some creativity could be found therein. Cesaro popping up to counter the Coast To Coast with the Superman Swing was inspired stuff - that was until you watched Shane McMahon's telling, terrible attempt at selling it. To hide his gut, the Commish held his baseball jersey down with his hand. But that's Shane, distilled: all he ever does is project the preferred version of himself to the detriment of his opponents and any semblance of credibility.

Into the guts of the match, if you could navigate deftly past the sh*t, this wasn't half-bad. Miz - Miz! - entered a somewhat sympathetic babyface performance, Sheamus beat his chest as if reacting furiously to the absurdity of it all, and even Shane, at 49, pulled off a decent Shooting Star Press. By his standards. That is to say he rotated correctly.

Another affront to tag team wrestling, at least this was morbidly funny. You've never seen a guy look just completely f*cked through exhaustion like Shane O'Mac did here.

He'll sleep tonight, bless him. The poor guy tired himself out!

Star Rating: **1/2
