WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 10 Former Stars Who Should Return Tonight!

3. Goldberg

While not technically a "former" star (seeing as how he wrestled as recently as SummerSlam 2019), Goldberg is no longer a member of the active roster. Thus, an appearance in the 2020 Royal Rumble match would be as much of a surprise as anyone else on this list.

After having a sweet send-off at WrestleMania 33, Goldberg decided to ruin his retirement by coming back to wrestle The Undertaker at Super ShowDown 2019 in what turned out to be a complete disaster. He was set on redeeming himself from his poor performance that night, and sure enough, he looked like the Goldberg of old (as opposed to "Oldberg") when he squashed Dolph Ziggler in a matter of minutes at SummerSlam.

Goldberg has no business winning the Rumble, mind you, but he would be the perfect person to oppose Brock Lesnar at No. 2 given their extensive history. In fact, they've played a part in eliminating each other from the Rumble in years past (2004, 2017), so it would make sense for that rivalry to be revisited at some point or another during the bout, if not at the very beginning.

As glorious as his decimation of Ziggler was back in August, that can't be his final match. Returning in the Rumble could kick off one final run for him heading into WrestleMania 36.
