Meiko Satomura is already on WWE's books.

While she isn't being used as a performer at the moment, the joshi legend and Sendai Girls owner has a working relationship with the promotion that WWE have already utilised in their attempts at making inroads into the Japanese market. Thus far, those have failed, though Satomura's influence, reputation, and position in the scene make her and compatriot Daisuke Sekimoto (who has reportedly taken up a similar role) ideal middle (wo)man.

Behind-the-scenes stuff aside, isn't it weird that WWE haven't attempted to book Satomura more often? Granted, she keeps a busy schedule in Japan, but she's a phenom. Her name has a place in any credible "greatest women's wrestler of all time" debate and her WWE appearances to date have showed that, with Meiko a big Mae Young Classic standout a couple of years ago. She's a skilled, domineering ring general with unmatched presence, and while not the biggest name for casual fans, it'd be cool to see her stepping out in a Royal Rumble.

They've got a lot of spots to fill, after all.
