WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen
4. The 'Fiend' Retains
The only regret heading into the Rumble is that WWE didn't shoot some sort of 'White Castle Of Fear' re-run that'd give WCW lifers nightmares. What better way to hype a 'Strap Match' than by showing Daniel Bryan riding to Bray Wyatt's lair in a helicopter before indulging in some tug-o-war with his minions?
That's a joke, obviously.
Seriously, this Universal Title situation doesn't need to be hard. Wyatt's 'Fiend' must win, and he must do so convincingly against someone he's changed from eco-warrior into eco-worrier. It'd be a total disaster for Bray if WWE scooped the blue belt from him so close to WrestleMania 36, and it'd leave him for dead as a threatening character.
Bryan is a Teflon performer at this point in his career, so losses don't really affect how over he is with fans. That's why, come the Rumble, he has to lose and end up taking a savage beating from the 'Fiend'. WWE cannot let Wyatt down all over again.
