WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen

3. Rusev Goes After Bobby Lashley

Way back in the halcyon days of 1992, Randy Savage looked like a complete chump by hopping over the top rope and eliminating himself from the Rumble. Years later in '97, Ahmed Johnson voluntarily jumped out of the ring to chase hated foe Faarooq. Accidental or otherwise, it's time that spot made a comeback.

Rusev and Bobby Lashley are ideal for it.

Picture this: Rusev is all sorts of fired up and running roughshod over every mid card heel in the ring around halfway through the Rumble. Then, Lashley's music hits to signal his entrance to the match, Rusev's eyes bulge out of his skull and he interrupts Bobby's stalling routine on the aisle by diving on top of him.

Who cares about the Rumble when you've got a home-wrecker to kick the sh*t out of? This spot would excuse Rusev from proper elimination, ensure that Lashley doesn't make it to the ring (thus ruining his own WrestleMania dreams, which Rusev would want to do) and keep the feud ticking along.
