It wasn't just Santino that Mike Johnson claimed is returning though, as there are also mooted appearances for both Nia Jax and Ruby Riott on the cards.

At the very least, they're both allegedly going to be in the building that night, and with both women's feuds looking like winding up (and the division's in need of a shakeup either way), it's likely they'll feature on the show. None of this guarantees that they'll be in the Royal Rumble itself, but with 30 slots to fill it seems the most common-sense way of reintroducing them both.

Riott and Jax have both been injured since spring/summer last year, and in their absence both Raw and SmackDown have struggled to really find a steady stream of heel challengers for the top titles. Bayley's turn was largely necessitated by a lack of any other real options. These returns could go some way to helping that problem, with Riott recently spotted training at the Performance Center and Jax's long-since nailed down as "sometime in Q1 2020".

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
