5. Goldberg Strikes Again
WWE's Rumble glory of January 2020 was sullied somewhat by the follow-up calamity that was Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia one month later. There, Bill Goldberg toppled Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' to become the new Universal Champ, and even his most ardent supporters had to admit it was a mistake.
Time for round two? Say it ain't so.
Drew McIntyre deserves better than being jobbed out to a returning legend just so WWE can book big Billy in some unwanted attraction at WrestleMania 37. To date, the Scotsman has never once performed in front of a live crowd, big or small, since becoming WWE Champion. 'Mania 37 is his chance to realise that dream.
So, booking him to drop the strap to Goldberg at the Rumble would be a colossal kick in the teeth. This just can't happen. It shouldn't happen. It better not happen! If Goldberg strikes again, then WWE will bolster arguments that they only care about part-time sideshows from 'the glory days', not hardworking full-timers.
