WWE Royal Rumble 2021: Predicting The 10 Biggest Spots
8. The IIconics Reunite (For A Moment)
What a total waste of time this has been.
Sure, Billie Kay has been fun as a WWE employee desperate to find a place she belongs, but the utter neglect shown towards Peyton Royce has been borderline criminal. The Perfect 10's Perfect 10 moved from a tag team brimming with chemistry into one with the complete opposite of that. Peyton now finds herself treading water on RAW, doing a whole lot of nothing. She has recently tweeted about career frustrations, and she can't be blamed at all.
Splitting up The IIconics was an idiotic move, albeit one that is totally in-line with WWE standard practice. The promotion obviously had nothing lined up for either woman and was essentially splitting them up for the sake of splitting them up. That is WWE's creative malaise in a nutshell.
Don't expect Peyton and Billie to get the Ax and Smash treatment at one and two, but it wouldn't be a shock to see the two team up for a brief time in the Rumble, shedding the ring of geeks like Dana Brooke, Nikki Cross and the aforementioned Kacy Catanzaro. Even less of a shock will be when Peyton then eliminates Billie, allowing Kay to throw a trademark fit on the outside.
