Bayley.

Obviously, this idea is totally dependent on Bayley being medically cleared in time for Saturday's pay-per-view. That...isn't the case at time of writing; recent reports in The Wrestling Observer and beyond claim that she-who-carried SmackDown's women's division for the longest time won't make it.

Is that a red herring? It could be, y'know. What if Bayley romps out as #30 in the women's match and tosses a few fools over the top to win? That'd take minimal effort (handy if she's still not 100%), but would give the Rumble a newsworthy winner. Then, once Lita is finished with her latest comeback tour and Doudrop has been moved aside, Bayley can choose her champion.

Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch both sound pretty damn good. Of course, the comeback kid would have to try on a babyface role again, but that's fine provided she doesn't return to being super-cute and huggable. Give her a mean edge and watch her fly!
