WWE Royal Rumble 2026: 10 Surprise Entrants We Could See

3. The Rock

After a pretty disastrous WWE run from The Rock in 2025, this is one of the unlikelier surprise appearances to happen in the upcoming Rumble. His stock has plummeted with fans after his no-show at this year's WrestleMania, and his appearance on NXT shortly after this was one of 2025's worst moments.

All that being said, Saudi Arabia is paying an eye-watering amount of money for the 2026 Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 43 in 2027. At that kind of premium cost, they will expect the biggest names in wrestling, and they don't get any bigger than The Rock.

It's not only The Rock that fans could see at the upcoming Rumble. The Undertaker continues to talk about one final ride in front of a live audience, and Shawn Michaels has had a double knee replacement in 2025. Throw in that The Rock is still involved in WWE storylines with The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes and, while all of these situations are unlikely (or unwanted), nothing should be ruled out when it comes to Saudi Arabia and the road to WrestleMania 43. Let it be stated that, no matter how unlikely this all seems on paper, nothing should surprise fans when it comes to the things these former greats will put themselves through for the size of the payday on offer.
