One of the least prominent wrestlers in the 1988 Royal Rumble, Ron Bass was another career midcarder in WWE. He put forth a decent effort at the event and was able to eliminate the Junkyard Dog, sparking a big feud between the two, before Bass moved into his most notable WWE rivalry with Brutush Beefcake that August.

Bass eventually lost to Beefcake in a hair vs. hair match, and competed in the '89 Royal Rumble as bald as the day he was born. The feud was eventually scrapped, however, and Bass slid towards irrelevance prior to his premature retirement in 1991.

"The Outlaw" struggled with injuries all throughout his career, and hasn't rested on his laurels since leaving the business. Bass moved to Tampa, Florida in his retirement, where he took up golf, found God, and started studying for a bachelor's degree. He eventually started working in Florida's construction industry as a salesman, then joined Amway as a marketer.

Now 68 years old, Bass continues in his work as a sales representative and lives a good life down in Florida, proving that there is indeed life after wrestling.
