In an update to WWE’s announcement that Triple H will be opening tonight’s episode of Raw, now comes word that the Game might actually be wrestling on this week’s outing for the company’s red brand.

As per WrestlingINC, the current backstage rumour at Raw is that Hunter will be lacing up his boots as WWE looks to face off against some major competition in the form of tonight’s 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship game between Alabama and Ohio State.

If Triple H does indeed wrestle tonight, that will be the first time that the King of Kings has competed since a June 2019 tour of Japan. There, the multiple-time World Champion teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura in a winning effort against Robert Roode and Samoa Joe.

As to who the Cerebral Assassin may wrestle against tonight, there is currently a vacancy in the Raw main event…

Earlier today, WWE announced that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19. As such, McIntyre is obviously out of his previously advertised Raw main event bout against Orton.

With WWE keen to keep the Viper in tonight’s show-closing match, reports indicated that WWE brass was weighing up top tier names to step into the ring with Orton. Could that top tier name be Triple H? Don’t rule it out.
