WWE’s Escape The Undertaker Review: 5 Ups & 3 Downs

Ups...

5. New Day’s Chemistry

Messrs E, Woods and Kingston are magic together.

The New Day threesome are so goofy and likeable that they're impossible to put down throughout the 30-minute duration. If you've ever enjoyed any of their lighthearted banter on WWE programming, then you'll get a kick out of their antics here. This is a celebration of everything that's right about New Day.

Netflix didn't put together a script worthy of The Godfather here, but WWE's fun-loving goodies make it work by never taking themselves too seriously. It's the little things; at one point, an outraged Xavier asks, "Who has a morgue in their house?". Deadpan, E turns to him and says, "Well, he is called The Undertaker".

That's just one example of how they manage to constantly turn functional dialogue into laughs. New Day share the same kind of silly charm as the cast of Scooby Doo, or maybe even The Goonies. They bicker, they crack jokes and they look out for another.

It's heartwarming, and it raises 'Escape The Undertaker' up.
