WWE: Scott Hall - 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

5 Awesome Matches...

5. The Outsiders vs. Sting, Lex Luger & Randy Savage (Bash At The Beach 1996)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxQpc5OBQm8 The match that kicked off the biggest angle in wrestling history. Scott Hall, along with Kevin Nash had just jumped ship from WWE to WCW. When the two made the move, they were major players in the WWE main event scene and it was a huge coup for WCW. Eric Bischoff, Kevin Sullivan and the creative minds behind the company decided to borrow an invasion angle from Japan and portray these "outsiders" as representing the WWF. They made vague allusions to their reasons for coming to WCW so as to skirt lawsuit issues (which they still wound up facing) and challenged WCW's biggest stars to a six man tag at Bash at the Beach 1996. If you weren't a fan during this time you can't properly grasp how huge this angle was and how much speculation there was as to who the 3rd man was going to be. Of course, as we all know by now it turned out to be Hulk Hogan, in probably the most shocking heel turn of all-time. The three stood in the ring amidst a constant shower of garbage and proclaimed themselves the "New World Organization" (later changed to Order). The match itself isn't out of this world, but it's a must watch for any fan based on the historical significance alone.
