WWE: Scott Hall's 10 Greatest Career Moments

6. The Third Man Is...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6aRr9zhyM8 The most infamous match of Scott Hall's career came on July 7, 1996 when he teamed with Kevin Nash and what was billed as a mystery partner to take on Sting, Lex Luger and Randy Savage. In the weeks leading into the match, Hall and Nash made an immediately impact on WCW by showing up unannounced and portraying themselves to be invaders from a rival company. Despite no longer being associated with WWE, Ramon carried the same accent as his Razor Ramon character and Nash carried himself the same way he did as Diesel. It was a brilliant concept that made audience switch the channel from WWE Monday Night Raw to WCW Monday Nitro to both see their favorite competitors and to see what was going to happen next. They got their answer when Nash powerbombed Eric Bischoff off the stage and through a table at the Great American Bash, the emphasis for the showdown a month later. Fans and commentators alike were confused as Hall and Nash took to the ring for their match against their opponents. Despite the numbers being against them, the so-called "Outsiders" were able to hold their own before knocking Luger out of the contest. With the sides evened up, a more traditional tag team bout unfolded. Late in the match, with Savage and Sting taking a beating, Hulk Hogan made his way to the ring. The Hulkster was there to save the day...or so the fans thought. The red and yellow-clad hero delivered a leg drop to Savage and changed professional wrestling forever. Hall joined Hogan and Nash following the bout for a promo with Mean Gene Okerlund. It was there that Hogan denounced the fans and revealed the beginning of the New World Order. It was a watershed moment for WCW and the emphasis for ratings supremacy for Ted Turner's wrestling company and Hall played a key role in it.
