Luke Harper was an interesting addition to SmackDown's main event, and the WWE Title picture in general. Whilst his fellow Wyatt Family members Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt hold the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles, it's a cool idea to have Harper involved in the fight for gold himself.

Starting out in red-hot fashion, Harper smashed Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and Dean Ambrose, even hitting the latter with a dive to the outside. Dominating the early part of the match, Luke was also put over by AJ Styles (who was providing guest commentary on the Fatal-4-Way headliner). This felt like WWE were testing the waters with Harper.

In the end, he was eliminated by Dean Ambrose following a Dirty Deeds DDT. That doesn't tell the whole story, it took both Ambrose and a Dolph Ziggler Superkick to topple Harper. Incredibly, the live crowd let out an audible boo when Harper was pinned by Ambrose and thus eliminated.

Naturally, the announcers didn't acknowledge the negativity, they marched on with the rest of the match. Fans were apparently so enthused by Harper's performance that they wanted him to win.
