WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (July 25)
8. One Glaring Example Of Tye Dillinger's SmackDown Struggles
Either WWE need to do away with those facts they use on SmackDown's name plates, or they need staff to come up with more interesting info. Seriously, all WWE could come up with for Tye Dillinger was that he entered as #10 in the 2017 Royal Rumble? That's a sign of how little the ex-NXT man has done on the main roster.
This was the name plate equivalent of 'creative has nothing else for you'. Dillinger is talented, but aside from chanting his favourite number what do fans know about him? That's the writing team's fault more than Tye's, and it must be sorted soon otherwise he'll be back in Full Sail University before he can even count to 10.
Give the guy a feud, for crying out loud. Yes, he did wrestle Aiden English at Battleground, but what were they fighting over? There's no sign of progression for Dillinger, and that's frustrating. Even his name plate is boring right now.
