When Jinder Mahal became WWE Champion this past May, his promos were full of fire and passion. It was like Jinder was letting years of frustration out after finally making it to the top in a company he had once been fired from. That energetic, in-your-face style has given way to a more subdued delivery.

This week's SmackDown saw Mahal mumbling his way quietly through a speech before being interrupted by John Cena. Even when Cena was noticeably louder on the mic than the brand's top heel, Jinder kept his voice low. This was the time when he needed to bite back at Cena and show why he was deserving of the title.

Jinder has said in interviews that Vince McMahon has been very hands-on with his promo style, but if that means changing him into a muttering mess who loses the fans as soon as he opens his mouth then it hasn't been beneficial. Revert back, WWE.
