Born on November 15, 1952, Randy Savage would go on to become one of pro wrestling's most famous sons. As the 'Macho Man', Savage captured the hearts of millions and (despite his death in 2011) is still remembered as one of WWE's biggest ever stars. Ironically, SmackDown's big celebration would have coincided with one for Randy.

Mentioned in passing, Mauro Ranallo told viewers that SmackDown was airing on Savage's birthday. Hyping up the history of the WWE Intercontinental Title, the announcer referenced Randy's match against Ricky Steamboat from WrestleMania III. In the same breath, Mauro then noted that it was the Macho Man's big day.

As WWE presented the 900th edition of their long-running blue brand show, Randy Savage would have turned 64 had he still been alive. Who knows what would have happened had Randy not passed away, maybe he would have even been in attendance for the show.

For many, Ranallo's words likely slipped the net. One of the best new commentators in WWE, Mauro gets through a lot of information in a short space of time each week.
