The longest match on SmackDown was a Tag-Team Turmoil affair involving The Hype Bros, The Vaudevillains, The Usos, Breezango, The Ascension and American Alpha. Backstage, reigning SmackDown Tag-Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno were shown watching a monitor. The winners of the bout would go on to face Slater and Rhyno for the belts at TLC on December 4.

That team ended up being Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, the gifted pair beat The Usos using their Grand Amplitude finisher for the pinfall victory. Suddenly, the announcers started talking about what might happen come TLC. That's when The Wyatt Family appeared on screen.

Laughing, Bray Wyatt said that he and Randy Orton would face American Alpha next week. The winner would then go on to get a crack at the SmackDown Tag-Team Titles. Along the way, it was never explained why The Wyatts weren't involved in the Tag-Team Turmoil.

Why did they have a free pass to face the winners, when American Alpha clearly thought they had secured a title match by winning the thing? This was a slight oversight from the creative team.
