WWE Smackdown Review: 5 Things We Learned (May 25th)

5. Adam Rose Kidnaps People

Adam Rose was brought out to SmackDown by Vickie Guerrero for no apparent reason. She seemed to be into his whole party gimmick, but then he asked the crowd if Vickie was a lemon or a rosebud. The crowd pegged Vickie as a lemon, as anyone would expect. Rose ended up making her fall off the apron into the waiting arms of his posse and then they proceeded to walk away with her. This was obviously a segment just to keep Adam Rose fresh in the minds of the fans, but it made no sense. What was the point of him coming out to the ring in the first place? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_Fy13G21zs Having Vickie generate some heat is always helpful, but she is not a rival to Rose in any way. A much more effective use of Rose's time would have been another confrontation with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. They are most likely going to face off at Payback to give Rose a pay-per-view wrestling debut. The match for the kickoff show has not been revealed, so this very well may be the one we get before the PPV starts. Adam Rose is a fun gimmick, but he runs the risk of becoming a comedy character with this gimmick. Hopefully he can prove his worth in the ring so he doesn't end up like Fandango.
