WWE Speculation On The Identity Of La Luchadora
Who is the newest addition to Smackdown's women's division?
Last week, a masked woman named La Luchadora scored a surprise victory over Smackdown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, then revealed herself to be none other than Becky Lynch. On Tuesday's edition of the program, though, La Luchadora made her return, and she clearly wasn't Becky - or a friend. The covered-up grappler interfered in Becky's title match with Bliss, slamming the challenger's head into the ringpost and setting Bliss up for a DDT and the win.
Though it was impossible to discern La Luchadora's identity on this week's episode of Smackdown, most speculation has centered around Tamina Snuka, who was put on the shelf with a knee injury in May. Recently, news broke that Snuka had fully recovered from her surgery, and would be starting on the road again soon.
Lordsofpain.net has also pointed out two other stars who could be playing the character - Mickie James, who's scheduled to return to WWE as a full-time talent in January, and Deonna Purrazzo, an independent talent who has worked frequent matches for NXT. Of course, plans could change at any time, and no matter who was under the mask on Smackdown, La Luchadora could eventually be revealed as anyone WWE's decision-makers choose.
