Mustafa Ali has refused to blame anyone for his omission from the WrestleMania 37 card(s).

The Raw star tweeted out a promise for next year's 'Mania 38: Ali vows to grab WWE's attention before 2022 and force his way into their plans for the biggest pay-per-view of the year.

Ali said there were "hundreds of excuses - hundreds of hurdles and lies" he could use to justify being left off both nights in Tampa, "But at the end of the day, it’s on me". He then went on to say that "nothing has ever been given to [him]" before closing with, "Next year, you're mine!".

WWE ended Mustafa's leadership of the botched Retribution stable during Fastlane's pre-show, and he's barely been seen since. Recent reports indicated that the faction was supposed to split at WrestleMania instead, but that was scrapped.

Now, nobody from the group has a meaningful spot on the pay-per-view weekender.

That has to sting, especially for Ali. WWE has never really followed up on his various mini-pushes over the past few years, and it remains to be seen what the company will do with him next.
