WWE Started It WCW Finished It - 10 Feuds That Switched Companies

7. Kevin Nash vs. Sid

Kevin Nash (aka Diesel in his initial WWE run) seemed like a hard babyface champion to book due to the fact he towered over his opponents and didn€™t fit the underdog role very well. Yet, the WWE pairing him with the equally monstrous and savage Sid seemed like a recipe for success. Not so much. It turned out that both Nash and Sid operated much better when paired with a lighter, agile worker (say a Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart) who could play the David to their Goliath. Instead, WWE gave us Goliath vs. Goliath in a series of plodding, awkward matches during the summer 1994. This seemed to thrill absolutely no one and after a short feud over the world title both men moved on to different opponents. Amusingly, WCW thought that this feud still had some juice left six years later. Kevin Nash (who was now the booker in charge of making matches in WCW) paired himself up against his old rival in a series of matches for the WCW title. When it was all said and done, Sid would win the championship twice and also be forced to vacate it twice because WCW had officially no creative direction by early 2000. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESakWcrMAqQ The two men engaged in matches that were even worse than before and were so overbooked that fans likely longed for the days when contests would have definitive endings. This is one entry on the list that wasn€™t great the first time around and certainly wasn€™t any better when WCW brought it back to life.
