WWE Started It WCW Finished It - 10 Feuds That Switched Companies

4. Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage

Every entry on this list could easily have been a Hulk Hogan feud that originated in the WWE and was rehashed down the road in WCW. In some ways, WCW management was absolutely shameless in the way they systematically lined up Hogan€™s old WWE rivals and fed them again and again to the Hulkster. The company started it right after his debut in 1994 with old rival Earthquake showing up and continued it throughout his run in the company. The list included everyone from Big Bossman to Roddy Piper to Ultimate Warrior entering WCW and picking right up in their previous WWE feuds with Hogan. Those opponents never captured the initial intensity or orginiallity of their first feuds with Hogan and thus the matches looked like second-rate sequels. However, the same could not be said for Hogan€™s continued storyline with the Macho Man Randy Savage. Quite simply, Savage and Hogan had one of the most compelling storylines of the 1980€™s. Their initial partnership fell apart over Savage€™s jealosury of the beautiful Miss Elizabeth and he and Hogan would meet in the main event at Wrestlemania V. It was a year long storyline that was among the finest the WWE ever produced and drastically elevated the careers of both men. When Randy Savage made the jump to WCW in 1994 he immediately resurrected the Mega Powers alliance. (with the hyper Jimmy Hart in place of meek Elizabeth) The men would be babyface partners (although the alliance was strained at times) until Hogan turned heel and joined the NWO. At that point, Savage and Hogan again feuded but the best would be yet to come. Savage would soon himself join the NOW and he and Hogan would become heel allies. The interesting part is that Savage still couldn€™t play the storyline role as Hogan lackey and would begin causing trouble in the larger NWO stable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQjTnMgrqXQ Savage was paranoid, crazy and unpredictable and was an interesting loose cannon in the otherwise united alliance. Savage finally caused the first major fracture in the NWO as he (along with Kevin Nash and Konnan) split from the group to form the first Wolfpac stable. Savage and Hogan would continue to butt heads for multiple years and had a fantastic chemistry against each other that WCW was brilliant to continue in their organization.
