WWE Stomping Grounds: 8 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know
3. Everybody Retains (Again)
Since WrestleMania 35 virtually nothing of note has happened in WWE's Championship picture on their PPVs. Becky has dropped one of her titles (indirectly) to Bayley, and Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio have traded the United States Championship. That's it.
Both Money in the Bank and Super Showdown haven't really offered fans anything of note anywhere on the card, and there's almost no reason to believe that Stomping Grounds will be any different. The vast majority of matches on the card are either rematches from Saudi Arabia (Kofi/Dolph, Rollins Corbin), Money in the Bank (Lynch/Evans, Mysterio/Joe) or just something we've seen before anyway (Roman/Drew, Bayley/Bliss).
This post-WrestleMania malaise does feel like it's coming to a close though, and the holding patterns we've been put it must splutter to a halt before Extreme Rules arrives and we begin the creative build up to SummerSlam. Looking at it though, it's almost inconceivable that the top titles could be on any of the current challengers heading into that period, and thus none of the matches here carry any real danger of shocking us.
