WWE SummerSlam 2014: 10 Things We Expect To Happen

4. An Appearance By Daniel Bryan

WWE.comWWE.comDespite his injury keeping him sidelined for an undisclosed period of time, Daniel Bryan continues to make appearances on WWE programming as the company attempts to keep him in the public eye. They clearly want him to remain hot as they await word on his status. One of their biggest stars and a merchandise juggernaut, Bryan is still a major part of the wrestling landscape. Allowing him to fade into obscurity while the machine keeps rolling would be a mistake. As a result, expect to see the former WWE World Heavyweight champion make some sort of appearance at SummerSlam as WWE loads the card with as many big names as possible for one of its most important broadcasts of the year. Perhaps he will be at ringside with Brie as she takes on Stephanie McMahon. Maybe he cuts another generic promo as he did at Money in the Bank, if only to energize the crowd. Maybe he even plays up the recent war of words with Bo Dallas, something that would continue to support Dallas' rising star. Whatever the case may be, Bryan will be at SummerSlam and he will do something to remind fans that he is a key piece in the WWE puzzle, injured or not.
