WWE SummerSlam 2017: Best Booking Scenarios For Each Match
1. Literally Anyone Else Wins The Universal Championship
Paul Heyman stated that if Brock Lesnar does not walk out of SummerSlam with the Universal Championship, both will exit the WWE.
Good. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
Of all the entries on this list, this is the least likely to happen. Lesnar is currently booked for a multitude of events after SummerSlam. It's really too bad that he doesn't deserve his paycheck.
There was a time when Lesnar was a legitimate draw, and facing him was nearly tantamount to a match against Undertaker at WrestleMania. That time is long gone. He has been reduced to sheer laziness. Brock's schtick of "arrive, bury a full-time wrestler that actually cares about WWE, leave" hasn't been appealing in years.
Keeping the belt on Lesnar is harmful to the entire product. It informs every wrestler that puts their life on the line week after week that their spot is being given away to someone that doesn't bother to look like he cares. The Universal Championship is barely defended and is treated like an afterthought instead of a great honor.
Backstage news says that Paul Heyman is strongly pulling for Samoa Joe to become champion soon. And despite being the least likely person to win the match, Roman Reigns would also be a better champion, a sentence which has probably never been written before.
End the madness, WWE. A Fatal 4 Way means that Lesnar doesn't even have to be the one to take the fall.
