WWE SummerSlam 2017: Best Booking Scenarios For Each Match
11. Tozawa Wins The Feud
Neville was a great champion, and had Akira Tozawa not captured the Cruiserweight Championship less than a week prior to SummerSlam, this entry may have been different.
There are a couple of reasons why Tozawa should keep the title. Under Neville's regime, face wrestlers were allowed to shine. With a good guy holding the strap, it's time for the heels to be given a chance.
Second, Tozawa will have only held the belt for six days. It's really too soon to do yet another title switch. It would render the championship match on Raw more pointless than it already was.
Neville was rescued from relative obscurity to swoop in and save the Cruiserweight Division. He entered as a generic face that could perform impressive feats of acrobatics in the ring. If Neville leaves, he will exit the division as easily among the top five heels currently working in the WWE. The Universal Championship is a little crowded at the moment, but a trade to SmackDown Live pending a possible second Superstar Shake-Up could do wonders for his career.
Based on the fact that this match was given away on free television, it will probably be on the shorter side. If that's the case, let's keep the Titus O'Neil shenanigans to a minimum, ok?
