WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Most Likely Outcomes
9. More Of The Same
Though SmackDown Live continues to prove that it is WWE's superior show, one storyline that is lacking coherency is the Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy feud. Orton may be compelling as the vindictive heel, but there's something off about the booking, and this is down to the fact that newly crowned U.S. Champion Shinsuke Nakamura continues to be involved.
Nakamura defeated Hardy swiftly to win the title at Extreme Rules before Orton returned and attacked Hardy. 'The Viper' would then brutally attack him again the weeks that followed, promising to end the Charismatic Enigma once and for all. The idea of Orton as a grizzled veteran, angry that there are stars more respected and popular than he is actually sounds like a really intriguing storyline. So, why are we subjected to another Hardy and Nakamura match at SummerSlam instead of having the two rivals face each other instead?
Though confusing, you can rest assured that WWE won't let it become a completely wasted opportunity. Thus, Hardy will once again lose to Nakamura after Orton distracts him, ultimately leading to another vicious altercation.
