WWE SummerSlam 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

7. Jinder Mahal Steals One

There's a simple solution here as well.

Drew McIntyre has promised to pen a sleeper hit come SummerSlam. He's obviously excited about locking horns with a real-life mate, but only a liar would say his bout with Jinder Mahal is anything other than a bonus extra this Saturday. That doesn't mean WWE should put Drew over in a squash though.

In fact, if anything, Mahal should find a way to steal the win without the help of Veer and Shanky. Then, assuming WWE want to give McIntyre some shine back, he can chase Jinder away from ringside with his scary sword "Angela" and pose on the stage.

Drew's epic 2020 push established him as a top WWE star for life. That means he can sustain a loss or two. Besides, the plan here must be to elevate Jinder to McIntyre's level rather than booking some 'one and done' rivalry that has barely scratched the surface when it comes to their shared history.
