WWE SummerSlam 2026: 12 Things That NEED To Happen
2. Oba Femi Conquers Hell In A Cell
Only one winner makes sense.
Paul Heyman. Nah, only joking (obviously!). It's that man mountain Oba Femi. He's 1-1 vs. Brock Lesnar stretching back to 'Mania, and now it's time to settle the score. There's been a ton of misdirection throughout this feud. Firstly, Brock appeared to retire in Las Vegas. Then, Oba won King Of The Ring but knocked back a guaranteed title shot so he could accept this Hell In A Cell war vs. Lesnar.
It's been messy for sure, and yet there's still a lot of anticipation for this one. It feels like it has the makings of a star-enhancing night for Femi and the true beginning of the end for 'The Beast'. He might not be able to take his gloves off and leave them mid-ring with tears in his eyes on this occasion, right enough. We've been there, done that.
Symbolically, he's about to be put down by a rising force. Femi is the future. No, it doesn't make much sense that WWE put him over in KOTR only to trash the title shot story they'd been pushing for the tournament all along, but Triple H must want to show patience with Oba's rise and squeeze as much out of that as he possibly can, which is fair enough.
The most important thing is that Femi wins. Some "accidental" blood would help the match. Or, maybe it'd tick off Netflix. They'd only censor it on demand afterwards, or something. Just put Oba over and give him the 2-1 win in this rivalry.
That's a must.
