Betting Prediction:

And now for the big one – the WrestleMania XXX rematch between The Phenom and the man who ended The Streak.

The Undertaker (8/15) comes into this one as the favourite to claim his revenge over The Beast Incarnate, with Brock Lesnar (11/8) a narrow outsider to bury The Deadman again.

Storyline Implications:

With both Superstars only on part-time contracts the storyline implications of this one may not be terribly exciting, especially if both take time off after the Summerslam PPV. Of course, if as predicted Undertaker does come out on top, this will tie the two men at 1-1 in their recent feud and perhaps sets up a 3rd encounter between them at a later date.

Although with Undertaker’s retirement seemingly close it seems unlikely that WWE would want to use up another of his big PPV matches in this way. It might therefore be the case then that we won’t see Undertaker back in the ring until 2016 when he returns to build a feud with his WrestleMania 32 opponent, who many are predicting will be Sting.

Brock Lesnar’s future also seems a bit unclear at this point, however it is worth noting that Paddy Power are already offering odds on the 2016 Royal Rumble match, with Lesnar (4/1) currently joint favourite to win it. Perhaps then Lesnar will vanish off WWE television for a while following a defeat to Undertaker at Summerslam before returning to win the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant, setting up a feud with whoever the WWE Champion is come the Road to WrestleMania.
