Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match between Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy. Taking place in between two huge Raw matches, it was initially looking like this was the audience's chance to calm down and take a breather. This, however, couldn't have been further from the truth.

The two cruiserweights put on an absolute barn-burner in a match that was only a respectable 10 minutes in length, with Murphy shockingly ending Alexander's recent undefeated streak to win the Cruiserweight Title. As huge as this was, it was even more shocking that the audience seemed to really enjoy it.

The Melbourne crowd went wild for the action and quite simply couldn't get enough. Granted, this was mostly down the fact that they were supporting their hometown boy, but that doesn't change the fact that they were 100% invested in the action. If anything, this proves that it is possible to care about the struggling Cruiserweight division. WWE just needs to find a way to make it more of a constant thing.
