WWE Super Show-Down: 8 Things WWE Got Right

4. Ronda Rousey's Booking

There's been a bit of concern of late that Ronda Rousey, the company's last true special attraction who isn't a sunburned 50-something, is gradually being normalised by being asked to sell disproportionate to her MMA prowess - and to opponents nowhere near her kayfabe calibre.

That was far from the case in Melbourne. A far cry from cowering from the pint-sized Alexa Bliss (albeit with 'injured' ribs), Rousey's entrance in the six-person tag match against The Riott Squad was protected to build anticipation for her inevitable path of destruction. It's what we got - Ronda's unbridled rage, culminating in a brilliant, bone-crushing finish as she made both Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan scream submit to a double armbar. Keep presenting Ronda like this, and familiarity won't diminish her fearsome aura.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
