Lana is great entertainment (fans are quick to forget how crucial Lana was to Rusev’s initial run), but her in-ring talent is debatable. While okay in small bursts, her shortcomings tend to reveal themselves during longer bouts.

Lana has had recent success, or at least notoriety, as a comedy act, with her being driven through the announcer’s table by Nia Jax becoming a running joke. So much so a highlight package of the nine times preceded the Raw Vs SmackDown Women’s Survivor Series elimination match.

In the only real shock of the evening, Lana was the sole survivor via count out. She is only the fifth female sole survivor in the PPV’s 33-year history, joining Nia Jax (2018), Asuka (2017), Beth Phoenix (2008), and Aja Kong (1995).

Lana’s win adds to her role as a comedy act. However, many fans are frustrated that one of the other competitors, particularly Bianca Belair, could have used the victory as a springboard to future greatness. An accidental win with barely any participation is unlikely to do this for Lana.
